The west coast of Bribie Island is the main population centre and consists of 3 suburbs providing a multitude of retail options and services. Banksia Beach to the north offers up a compact shopping in the Bribie Harbour Shopping Village. Also popular with the locals is Cafe191 at the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre where home-baked pastries are the hero of the menu.
Further south is the main island entry point suburb of Bellara & it’s here you’ll find your everyday necessities shopping, including the Bribie Island Shopping Centre, the island’s central shopping complex.
Head further south & you’ll enjoy Bongaree, the first suburb on Bribie Island. Wide tree-lined streets & avenues intersect the main roadways for Goodwin Drive, Toorbul Street, Welsby Parade, and First Avenue. The retail zones in this township offer up regular stores and also lots of personal small business owner experiences too. In the First Avenue small business precinct discover the joys of the Bongaree Village shopping precinct, a symphony of retailers with great value shopping & relaxing atmosphere.
